I got my first taste of planning weddings when I worked for a planner while I was living in South Africa in 2011. I planned fundraisers and events for my high school and university but executing a wedding was an entire different ball game. I remember Faye telling me that “you aren’t allowed to mess up someone’s wedding day.” She was right - you can’t, it isn’t an option. I still whisper this line to myself when I drive to my events twelve years later. The pressure is real, but I quickly learned that year in 2011 that I not only enjoyed the pressure, I thrived in it.

Fast forward to planning many friends weddings, I finally took the plunge to open my own company in 2016. I am incredibly grateful to every client who has trusted me to support them through their planning journey. We’ve created some magical weddings over the years and I truly believe the best is yet to come for this business!

2022 was amazing and I am still pinching myself thinking about the incredible people I got to meet and work with. 2023 is shaping up to be another unbelievable year and I’m excited to be able to bring you along through this blog! So what will you find? Real weddings and lots of behind the scenes on what it takes to plan a wedding. I’ll share planning tips and helpful advice whether you are my client or not! I’ll showcase some of my vendor friends and favourite wedding professionals to help make your booking season easier, and of course we’ll sprinkle company updates and real life throughout it all.
